“ This camera isn't going to win any awards for either innovation or design. However, there are some people out there that think this weird shape is attractive. One such person is Liz, a friend of mine who recently bought one. When I asked her what she thought, she told me that she was amazed at how easy it was to use.
She works as a Scenes of Crime Officer and uses a Nikon D70 DSLR for her work. She said: "It's good to not carry around a huge camera all the time and this does what I need it to do without me needing to think about the end result too much." This is an indication of the easy to use menus and she has a point. Plus she works in the police so can't lie. It's the law or something.
I found the camera very good to get along with. The images are good quality, sharp and boasting decent detail from the 7Mp sensor, which by today's standards are relatively low.... ”

“ The Fuji FinePix Z10fd offers a nice combination of style and technology that really appeals to the younger, on the go, generation of photographers. The ultra-compact model is incredibly easy to use, and with the full auto mode, anyone can slide the camera open and start taking nice pictures. There are also several more advanced features for the novice or more creative photographer. With a street price of US$199 or less, we feel with its style, performance and image quality, the Z10fd will be a popular model this year. ... ”

“ From a use standpoint, the Finepix Z10fd exemplifies point-and-shoot simplicity. Build quality is far from great, but as a pocket camera for a casual user the Z10 may be worth considering. The single biggest issue with the Z10 is that its image quality fails in so many respects that photo enthusiasts looking for an ultra-compact will write this camera off without a second look. For snapshots intended to be shared with friends and family, the Z10 is probably strong enough, and compared to other high-style ultra-compacts the price alone may be appealing. For those wanting a camera with more flexibility, however, the Z10 simply isn't the best choice: with today's FinePix Z100fd announcement, users interested in a new high-end ultra-compact from Fuji would be wise to wait.... ”

“ An attractive looking slimline digicam with some features to appeal to tech-savvy snapshooters.
Fujifilm's slim, smart-looking FinePix Z10fd has been designed to appeal to 18-35 year olds. Its 'aero' curved body is available in red, orange, olive green, Prussian blue and black to co-ordinate with the latest fashions and it sports a 7.2-megapixel imager and 3x optical zoom lens. There are plenty of features and functions to engage potential buyers in this take-anywhere camera. But, above all, it's easy to use with only four selectable shooting modes: movie, manual, auto and natural light and with flash - and the camera displays a text message that tells you what each setting does.... ”
