“ The Olympus Stylus 1020 is a full featured and stylish compact digicam. The 10-megapixel imaging sensor and 7x optical zoom combined with the in-camera features make this a very capable and fun to use camera. It has excellent performance and quality, and will definitely make a great camera for anyone looking to take some creative photographs. The only thing that upset us was that this model is not weather-resistant like it's predecessors. With a MSRP of US$350 it is a little pricey, but offer a good deal if you are looking for a camera with a little bit of extra power and some great features... ”

“ Whatever the marketing logic behind launching two such similar models, there's no question that the mju 1010 and 1020 are good quality cameras, offering superior zoom range, great handling and decent performance, all in a stylish weather-resistant body. Image quality is generally good in most situations, but poor low light performance and an inferior video mode will limit their appeal as social snapshot cameras... ”

“ Packed inside the stylish black metal body of the Mju 1020 is a 10-megapixel CCD imager that is only marginally larger than the sensors in the 8-megapixel Mju 840 and Mju 850 SW models, although we don't have its actual dimensions. While the difference in maximum output file sizes between the Mju 1020 and its 'sisters' is relatively small (3648 x 2736 pixels in the 1020 vs 3248 x 2436 pixels in the other models) Olympus is asking a lot from this tiny imaging chip... ”
