“ Despite a few negative marks in the area of timing, some image noise, and contrast, the Olympus Stylus 820 performs very well. For a fairly low price you get 5x optical zoom, a host of creative shooting modes and helpful guides, a high-resolution 8.0-megapixel CCD, and a bounty of useful Olympus options like weather-proof body design, and Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment technologies. The large 2.7-inch color LCD monitor remains useful even under bright midday sun, and the camera's pocketable size ensures it will tag-along just about anywhere. The Stylus 820 is a good option for novices and advanced amateurs alike... ”

“ There are not many weatherproof digital cameras to choose form. So if this is important to you then the Olympus MJU 820 is probably as good as any. Picture quality holds up until you really start to push the camera. Shutter lag times fall well within what is acceptable and the camera is also easy enough to pick up and get started with... ”

“ This is one of the cameras that has the same technology as the Mju 1200 but without the resolution or high ISO performance. Ask yourself if you need those features and you could save yourself £80.
The Olympus Mju 820 performs to an Ok standard. Nothing is excelled in, which is unfortunate and could be the downfall of this model... ”

“ The Stylus 820 is a welcomed addition to this "water resistant" Olympus line. It offers excellent image quality, a variety of scene modes, and a very useful in-camera guide to help the user along. With a very comfortable feel and an incredibly small size, it is a perfect little camera for on the go. Starts fast, but is a little more sluggish when it comes to overall shooting performance. With a price range around US$250, this is an excellent camera for this price range... ”
