IMO the images look nice. no high ISO but at 640 (chair shot) there I find much less noise than my 30D both at 100%. It may be the RAW conversion, but it is still nice. I find the 8th one very nice also, hardly noise at ISO400, very clean dark area.
The 18-200 seems to be quite sharp in the center but a bit soft on edges especially at wide angle (boat shot).

50D's New AEB Feature
Imaging Resource says the following about the 50D's Auto Exposure Bracketing:
"AE Bracketing. HDR (High Dynamic Range) shooters have a new tool in the Canon 50D's enhanced AE Bracketing feature. The new feature allows you to bracket images starting from four stops darker or ending four stops brighter than the meter's selected exposure value, over a two-stop range, when combining exposure compensation with AE Bracketing. A new display makes it easier to understand the feature."
There's a little graphic to the left of this that shows you can bracket +/- 2 stops anywhere from 4 stops down to 4 stops up. Here's the link to the 50D review on Imaging Resource:
DigitalRev, who have a reputation for providing great value cameras have the EOS 50D available for pre-order (body only) at almost AUD$2.5K.
That would mean that the street price (RRP) here in Australia would look something like $2.7K-$3K for the body only.
What 1990s gunja have these guys been smoking?
Do they really think people will pay $2.5K for a 1.6 crop sensor in this market?
I think they may be confusing the 50D with Canon's 5DMkII. Heck, I can get a 5DMkI for less than that price!
Oddly, the 40D is listed at less than HALF that price ($1.1K) on the same site.
Based on what I paid (via them) for my 40D just after it was released (got mine within 2 weeks of release), I'd say that you can expect to may much more like $1.5K once the units start shipping proper.
My advice would be hold off on buying the 50D if you're considering it until Jan/Feb 2009. That is of course unless you've got about $1K to burn and you could care less.

50D samples 800, 1600, 3200
The following photos are 1600, 3200, and 800 right out of the camera, with EXIF data intact. I was using a 50mm which has a VERY narrow depth of field, so please consider that before you start shouting "the pictures are soft". You'll notice some of the cup is in focus, other is out. That is due to depth of field.
This is using default settings with jpg output. I thought some folks imight like to see what the camera does on its own right out of the box before using RAW and conversion processes. Photos are around 5 megs each, and I didn't shrink them, so it might take a while to download.
