Canon PowerShot SD970 IS user reviews Date: 2009-08-14 - 07:15:43 Author: rogercruse Rating:    After searching for a camera to replace my 4 year old Samsung, decided on Canon and this model as I wanted the 5x optical zoom and all those pixels for my next holiday. Had no problem finding places selling it online (unlike earlier posts here) and much cheaper than the advertised "official" price... The face recognition feature is fascinating and even identifies the face of the neighbour's cat! Problems No real issues found other than the zoom and shoot switch / button could be a little easier to use. Reduced the "ease of use" score because of this. A general gripe: Why can't Canon be consistent with the model numbers. That is, why have different numbers between US and Europe?
