Casio Exilim EX-S10

The world's smallest and thinnest 10.1 Megapixel camera* fits perfectly into accessible pockets for spontaneous snapshots and personal YouTube™-friendly videos. The wide 2.7 inch Super Clear LCD screen delivers amazingly high contrast and brightness.

Casio Exilim EX-S10

10.1 MEGAPIXEL

The CCD-Chip of the EXILIM Card EX-S10 supplies a rich 10.1 million Pixels of full colour brilliance and focus. Such high resolution photos give you the advantage that you can print them out in excellent quality or edit them on the computer. This means that enlargement of details and poster size photos are possible.

2.7 inch LCD

The EXILIM EX-S10 features an ultra-bright and wide 6.9 cm (2.7-inch) Wide Screen TFT colour display (Super Clear LCD) enabling viewing from almost any angle. Alongside the large visual angle and a high resolution of 230,000 pixels, the LCD display also delivers unusually high contrast of approx. 1000:1, giving you a particularly clear and crisp view of your subjects. The display is unusually light at up to 1000 cd/m²*, making it easier to view your images even in strong sunlight – 5 different pre-settings are available, allowing you to adjust the display brightness to the prevailing lighting conditions: 0/+1/+2/Auto1/Auto2

*Max. brightness: measured in the centre of the TFT colour display

3X OPTICAL ZOOM

The EX-S10 is as slim as your little finger — yet it still features 3x optical zoom. With it you can home in on beautiful details and stay in the thick of the action.

ULTRA-SLIM DESIGN

The EXILIM EX-S10 from CASIO is the world's slimmest* digital camera featuring 10.1 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. Whether you use it for work, during sport, for evenings on party or while travelling, this little gem is always right there with you, ready for action, and it's so flat that it fits comfortably in any pocket. The stainless steel housing is both high-quality and elegant, which gives the digital camera a completely unique appearance — so you can shine anywhere and anytime.

*Digital cameras with no fewer than 10 megapixels, as at Nov. 2007

INNOVATIVE H.264 MOVIES

Anything is possible. You just have to want it. With the EX-S10, you can turn your brilliant ideas into digital reality – and in extremely high quality too, as the movies* are recorded in innovative H.264 format. The H.264 enables you to record up to 1.5x longer high resolution movies with sound than in MPEG-4** format, with the same memory space and in the same picture quality. Extremely practical: The video clips are optimized automatically for YouTube™ with the new YouTube™ Capture Mode.

*max. recording duration 10 minutes/movie
**compared with EX-S600, resolution: 640 x 480

WIDE MOVIE SHOOTING

The Wide Movie shooting mode can be used to make video recordings in 16:9 Wide Screen format. So you can watch your videos on a plasma or LCD television in Wide Screen format, and say goodbye to annoying black edges or distorted images.

MOVIE STABILISATION FUNCTION

The movie stabilisation function* can reduce the risk of filming scenes which are wobbly because the camera has not been held still. This function can stabilise unwanted movements, which often produces better pictures.

*Electronic image- and movie stabilizer

SNAPSHOT IN MOVIE

Film movies and take a photograph at the same time - you don't need two cameras to do this but the EXILIM Card EX-S10 . Press the button while you're filming a movie and enjoy individual photos in full 10.1 Megapixel quality.

MOVIE BUTTON

With this practical button you are always ready to film the best scenes When the camera is switched on a touch of a button is enough – and filming begins immediately.

MOVIE ROTATING FUNCTION

With the practical Movie Rotating function, you can record your films in both landscape and portrait format, rotate them as you wish* and then enjoy them in the digital camera display or in full format on the television.

*Rotated movies cannot be transferred to a PC.

EXILIM ENGINE 2.0

The extremely powerful EXILIM Engine 2.0 combines multiple components in a compact space, works extremely quickly and saves energy. The image processor also has sufficient capacity for the Advanced Auto Tracking AF function, hue adjustment to optimise dark areas, targeted noise elimination in critical colour areas and quicker image processing. The new EXILIM Engine 2.0 also ensures quick reaction times and long battery operating times — which creates great pictures.

DIRECT ON FUNCTION

Whilst other cameras are still moving the lens out, you will take the best photos and make the best movies by far thanks to the DIRECT ON function. Your camera is ready to take photos at the press of a button – in only approx. 1,2 s*.

*Flash off, internal memory

FACE DETECTION FUNCTION

Whether you're on holiday, at a party or spending time with your family - people are particularly popular subjects for a photo. It's always a pity when faces turn out blurred on a picture. The Face Detection function now offers the perfect solution, recognizing the individual faces or even entire groups, and automatically applying the best possible setting.

FACE RECOGNITION FUNCTION

The Face Detection function recognises faces in the picture. Extremely clever: The Face Recognition function can store up to six faces. If several faces appear on a photo when taking a picture, the Face Recognition function focuses primarily on faces that have previously been saved as priorities in the family register. This enables you to set "preferences" for certain people when taking a photograph at family celebrations.

9-POINT MULTI AF FUNCTION

If you take photos using the multi-focus, the camera measures the distance from the motif with the 9-Point Multi AF function at nine different points and sets the right focusing range. In addition, all the measured areas are displayed simultaneously which were the object of the focussing procedure. This means that every picture is extremely crisply focused.

SMILE DETECTION AUTO SHUTTER

Smile and the world smiles with you! The innovative Smile Detection Auto Shutter function ensures that you will never again miss that smile when taking photos. Press the release button as soon as you have the faces in the frame. The photo will then be taken, fully automatically, once the subjects are smiling.
