Fujifilm FinePix A920

At Fujifilm, we believe that affordability should never mean a compromise on quality, and the new FinePix A920 compact digital camera is no exception.

Continuing this tradition the FinePix A920 boasts 9 megapixels, Fujinon 4x optical zoom and ISO 800 light sensitivity as well as QVGA movie recording capability.

It's also incredibly easy to use, with intuitive icon-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) and many features accessible via a mode dial.

The FinePix A920 is perfect for families who want a reliable, take-anywhere camera and is suitable for kids and parents alike.

FEATURES

9 MegaPixel Super CCD-HR

The FinePix A920 incorporates a 9 Mega-Pixel Super CCD sensor, featuring Fujifilm's exclusive octagonal pixel design that allows for high sensitivity, low noise, and brilliant color. Utilizing this sophisticated imaging sensor assures exceptional image quality, accurate details, smooth and attractive skin tones and true to life colors in virtually any shooting conditions.

Picture Stabilization Technology

The FinePix A920 with Picture Stabilization will automate professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail. Picture Stabilization utilizes higher sensitivities, up to ISO 800 in the A920, an incredibly high signal to noise ratio, and faster shutter and operational speeds to deliver virtually blur free images where conventional digital cameras cannot.

2.7" LCD Display with Anti-Glare Coating

A large, 2.7” display makes taking pictures as well as viewing your stored images easier and more enjoyable. And with the Anti-Glare coating, outdoor viewing is significantly improved over standard LCD displays.

IrSimple™ Wireless Transfer

Transfer your images quickly and easily from your FinePix A920 to any IrSimple equipped device. A fast infrared technology, IrSimple makes getting those photos out of your camera a breeze. Want to share with your friends‘ No problem, you can even transfer images to another IrSimple equipped camera too!

xD/SD/SD-HC Media Compatible Slot

The Finepix A920 features an xD/SD/SD-HC compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card or SD media to store and transfer your photos. This convenient and flexible capability assures compatibility with a wider variety of applications than ever before, and allows users to choose the media technology that is right for them.

A low light marvel

Photos taken in low light are the ones that are most likely to produce disappointing results. Limited flash range and direct light can mean the foreground is harshly lit and the background lost all together. If the flash isn't used at all, the image can suffer from digital interference called 'noise' as the sensor struggles to pick up all of the detail in the scene.

Moving images can be blurred as the camera keeps the shutter open for longer to allow as much light in as possible. Fujifilm has put 70 years of experience in imaging into fine-tuning the light sensitivity and flash systems of its cameras and you perhaps wouldn't normally expect a camera placed at such an affordable price point, to house such technology – but we can assure you - it does.

Anti blur

The camera's Anti-blur system increases its ISO setting and associated shutter speed, so that the shutter can open and close much more quickly, thereby freezing moving action without blur - perfect for school sports fields.

When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix A920's movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.

Ease of use

The camera is preset with 16 special scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits or ski slopes in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced.

A redesigned graphical user interface and control layout ensure that the powerful feature set remains easy to use even for the novice digital camera user.

Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the camera automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.
