Packed with 10.0 million pixels

The image engine of the FinePix J100 is built around the combination of a 10 Megapixel CCD and a specially designed FinePix DSP (digital signal processor), which is normally found in a number of Fujifilm's higher priced compacts.

Thanks to this impressive technology, images are crisp, clear, and vivid; simply perfect for cropping and image quality is retained even when enlarged for printing.

5x Optical zoom

Incorporating a 5x optical zoom, the FinePix J110w allows you to move in close to your subject at the touch of a button; letting you enjoy a range of picture-taking options, from atmospheric wide-angle scenes to dramatic close-ups.

High resolution 2.7-inch LCD screen

The FinePix J100 features a large high-resolution 2.7-inch, 230,000 pixel LCD screen, which has a reinforced glass coating for scratch-free durability.

In addition, the LCD screen is coated with anti-glare materials to increase visibility when framing or reviewing images in bright sunlight, which means that sharing your images with others is easier than ever before.

Convenient SD/SDHC compatibility

The FinePix J100w features an SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either SD or SDHC media to store and transfer your photos.

This will give you the flexibility to buy the card you want, use cards from previous cameras, or choose the media that fits with your other desktop devices like laptops, PDAs or card readers.

Internal memory

The FinePix J100 makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The 24MB internal memory built into this compact ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot.

Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities. With that said, the main storage for images on the FinePix J100 should be an additional SD card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like.

Portrait perfection

Fujifilms software based Face Detection instantly recognises the faces in the frame, and automatically optimises the focus and exposure for up to 6 faces at one time.

Say goodbye to red eye....

Selectable red eye removal detects and compensates for red eye in each face detected resulting in flattering flash portraits and party pictures.

Highly sensitive...

The FinePix J100 is capable of achieving an *ISO 3200, allowing you to shoot without flash in a number of situations; resulting in natural looking images that preserve the mood of the actual scene as the eye sees it.

*ISO 1600 at full 10MP resolution/ ISO 3200 at 3MP or lower.

Anti blur

The camera's Anti-blur system increases its ISO setting and associated shutter speed, so that the shutter can open and close much more quickly, thereby freezing moving action without blur - perfect for school sports fields and action shots in the playground.

When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix J100 movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.

Fuss free...

The camera is preset with an extensive selection of scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits - in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced.

Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the FinePix J100 automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.
