I wanted a fast compact camera for snapshots which would be easy to carry around.This camera fits the bill. Has a weighty,solid feel to it. Just the right size for me. Zoom lens has great range. The LCD is extremely bright and sharp (who cares about .3 inches smaller than some) It is easily used in bright sunlight. Camera start-up is very fast as well as focus and shooting mode. The IQ is superb . I would highly recommend this camera. My only criticism is the battery life is not outstanding so I picked up a second battery . Date: 2010-01-18 - 09:21:58 Author: Xfunf Rating:    Bad one I used this camera for a week then returned it in exchanged for another brand of compact.I found the menu system not well laid out , colours where weak and odd in all different settings,the rear of the camera got hot near the top right corner after a short time,the flash was not that great,I don't expect to much out of a compact camera,but compaired to other compacts I have used and own the Fuji was very disappointing.I did read the owners manual and tried several shooting options but just no good. Date: 2010-04-16 - 10:54:56 Author: Chase Rating:    I wanted a camera with a long range zoom, I had an Olympus with a 10x but it was bulky and I finally just got a point and shoot with a 3x. While this was a good camera I missed the zoom. I have had this only about three weeks and have not had time to read the book, but just taking it out of the box and shooting I have been very pleased. The quality of pictures seem very good and I love the size, easy to carry in my purse but always have the ability to zoom in where I please. I am a point and shoot person and for me it is perfect, also like how when you change modes it tells you what it is supposed to do. Not sure how it would be for someone wanting to take professional shots but for the average picture taker it is great. The metal case makes it feel very sturdy and like you have a very expensive camera. A good value for the money.
