If you have a fair idea of what you\\\'re getting into the J10 can produce excellent images for a compact camera. It shines quite brightly in good lighting, although often, as one might suspect, the camera has some issues deciding where the point of optimum focus should be, but focusing and recomposing often solves this issue.
The zoom range is also not the most useful (a wider base would be useful), but this is almost to be expected in a compact camera.
I love how Fuji finally moved to an XD/SD multi-slot, this should save everybody money in the long run.
Problems:
The default zeroed out exposure compensation seems too bright and seems to throw out coloration and blow out highlights, -2/3 of a stop seems to cancel this effect.
At higher ISOs the camera can be noisy (again not unusual in a compact), but the manual mode allows you to set the sensitivity and a base of 100 for good lighting seems acceptable most of the time.
