I haven't had as much time to get used to this camera as I would like to have. The weather hasn't been good either.
Here are three images. I shoot with all image optimization settings in default mode. I prefer tweaking individual images in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements rather than letting the camera apply the same parameters to every image.
My other cameras create images in a 3:2 aspect ratio, so I'm using the P90 the same way. I should have time to do some more sampling in the next few days, so I can upload some 4:3 images.
I shot all of these with Active D-lighting off, Auto ISO on, Auto White Balance. I'll experiment with other settings when time permits.
Here are the images:
EXIF data: Programmed Auto, Center weighted, Shutter speed 1/200s, Aperture F/5.0, ISO 64, Focal length 110.4mm (FF equiv. 624mm).
EXIF data: Aperture priority, Center weighted, Shutter speed 1/510s, Aperture F/5.6, ISO 64, Focal length 15.1mm (FF equiv. 85mm).
EXIF data: Shutter priority, Center weighted, Shutter speed 1/30s, Aperture F/5.0, ISO 64, Focal length 8.2mm (FF equiv. 46mm).

Just got my P90 yesterday and since the weather has been rotten I spent all day with it just testing sharpness, color and noise. So far I am very impressed. Macros are nice and sharp with good detail and I have determined that noise is not a problem until ISO 400 and even that is acceptable and can be gotten rid of easily with post-processing.
Of course the main reason I bought this was for the zoom and so far so good. I shudder to think what the lenses would cost for my D200 that would cover the same range!
I'll post pics here in a few days when the weather turns nice. So far I am very pleased with this camera!
