Image quality is poor: some strangely shaped noise appears indoor, which was called "speckle" by another reviewer. I am wondering where this speckle is coming from. Even outdoor pictures seem to be heavily processed to hide the ugliness of the sensor output. To make things worse, the LCD display is close to not antialiased, and so the speckle is VERY visible even if you do not zoom into the pictures. Yuk.
Autofocus is slow. Low-light performance is dreadful. I have bought quite a number of cameras from Nikon, one of the last ones being an S52, which was great. This one is the ultimate disappointment. It is a paramount example that which cheap hardware, the electronics and image processing cannot repair the terrible image and turn turd into gold.
Stay away from that one, unless you do not care about image quality, and what you want is a compact & nice looking toy that takes, well, ... photos.
