Picture quality is middle of the pack, but still a good choice given its go anywhere size. I use an Olympus E-510 DSLR and Panasonic TZ5 compact zoom (27-280mm), but this would be fun as a shirt pocket take along (half the weight and much slimmer than the TZ5). Before the Disney trip was over the lens stop functioning... so much for all of the rest of the vacation pictures... When I got hom I tried getting to the Olympus website so see if there was an easy fix... .Olympus has nothing on that camera... I guess this will get returned and I'll buy another brand. Date: 2010-05-21 - 11:43:47 Author: Lisa Rating:    Great Camera for a Great Price Bought this camera for our daughter for Christmas. Worked fine right out of the box but for some reason the camera locked up. The lense was extended but the camera portion wouldn't work. All other functions were OK. Contacted Amazon who shipped a replacement right away (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE) The second one again worked right out of the box and continues to work flawlessly. Takes Great pictures, long battery life and although AA batteries are convenient, the batteries don't last if you leave them in the camera, and it is a pain to take the batteries out every time you store the camera. This camera has the lithium ion battery that has a very long camera life and quick recharge time. Very satisfied with the camera and the pictures it produces.
