But the SP-570 does have a hotshoe, and it is available now. I have the SP-550 and the SP-570, and I use them both. In my perception, the SP-565 is a replacemnt for the SP-550 - 20x zoom instead of 18x, 10 MP instead of 7MP, double the internal memory, newer processor, able to take microSD cards. Again, in my perception, the SP-565 is not improved enough to ditch any SP-560 you might own. The differences are - 10MP instead of 8MP, 20x zoom instead of 18x zoom, can use microSD cards. I am interested in replacing my SP-550 with the SP-565 because - 10MP lets me crop a bit more. - microSD would give me nearly 40 minutes of movies at VGA resolution at 30 frames per second. I constantly switch between stills and movies. - The SP-565 is slightly smaller and less conspicuous than the SP-570. The SP-570 makes me look like an expert to be asked for advice when I am really there to take pictures.
