Samsung NV30

With 8 mega-pixels and high sensitivity ISO 3200, the NV30 provides brighter, sharper, more detailed images. Coupled with Samsung's unique Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) system and an intelligent 2.5 LCD screen, the NV30 enables you to take clearer pictures indoors or in lower light conditions. The NV30 also features dual image stabilization for increased image quality and auto Red-Eye Fix technology. Like the rest of the NV range the NV30 boasts a smart touch user interface for a more intuitive and user-friendly handling. The NV30 comes complete with a rechargeable battery and can also be charged via USB.

8.1 mega pixel CCD

High picture quality is obtained by employing an 8.1 mega pixel 1/2.5” high resolution CCD sensor. Clear picture quality can be achieved even for images larger than A2. A robust mounted image processor allows for rich gradation, fast and high quality picture processing.

Using the face detection function, a beeping sound notifies users when a face is located in a specific area. This function helps convenient and accurate self portraits. Function Description

When each camera function is set up, instructions for the corresponding function is provided so that the camera can be operated even by a beginner. Instructions regarding the entire camera functions such as shutter and aperture as well as shooting are available.

Multi Slide Show

The pictures stored in the camera can be viewed with various special effects while listening to 3 background musics stored in the memory. Just select one of the themes to enjoy the slide show without the additional control.

Dual Image Stabilization

With lens-shift method Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), hand shakes are completely controlled without image degradation in poor light conditions. Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) that is fully implemented in terms of image processing speed and picture quality. Concurrent use of OIS and DIS correction of hand-shakes ensures clear picture quality in any shooting condition.

Shooting Mode Dial

• - AUTO, P Mode: After brightness distribution in a shooting scene is measured, the exposure and focus are automatically adjusted (P Mode: user-controllable).
• - M Mode: The shutter speed and aperture can be manually specified by the user for professional image expression.
• - DUAL Mode: A shooting mode intended for low light conditions where optical and digital correction of hand-shake are employed.
• - Scene Mode: Shooting data for 12 different situations are available for professional shooting experience.
• - Portrait Mode: A shooting mode intended for portrait shots. Night scene Mode: A shooting mode intended for night time.

Face Detection function

The face detection function is the latest technology of automatically detecting the face in the frame. When the function is activated, the focus and brightness are automatically set by the face detection function, so that the user does not have to manually focus. Up to 9 faces detected. Simple shooting of people as the camera automatically detect the face. Flexible composition. Automatically exposure correction even in backlight.

5-level of Sharpness, Contrast and Saturation Adjustments

Based on shooting environments, the clarity, contrast and saturation of pictures can be adjusted at 5 levels. The brightness, contrast and saturation of pictures can be adjusted at the time of playback.

• -Sharpness: The basic clarity of pictures can be specified (adjustment of image pixels).
• -Contrast: The difference between brightness and darkness can be adjusted (adjustment of a tone)
• -Saturation: The intensity and faintness of colours can be adjusted (adjustment of colour distinction).

Intelligent 230K pixel 2.5” LCD

Intelligent LCD function enables more effective utilization of high quality LCD. It automatically recognizes the surrounding environment to make LCD brighter in dark surroundings and darker in bright environments to users. No manual adjustment needed as the camera automatically changes the brightness level according to the surrounding environment.

AEB or Exposure Correction function

When the measured exposure data is not accurate, pictures are taken automatically based on the exposure range specified by the user. - The function controls the shooting exposure based on the exposure measured by the camera according to user's selection.

• * AEB(Auto Exposure Bracketing): It automatically shoots darker or brighter pictures, according to the exposure standard measured by automatic exposure stage shooting.
• * Exposure correction: Enables darkness and brightness to be controlled in relation to the exposure measured, by using +/- buttons

ISO 3200 Support

The camera can effectively reduce possible noises in super speed sensitivity mode for clear images. ISO 3200 super speed sensitivity enables clear quality pictures to be taken even in low light conditions. (ISO supported: Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 (up to 3M)) Super speed sensitivity enables sharply-focused, momentary stop pictures to be taken of moving subjects such as children or people engaged in sports

ACB (Auto Contrast Balance) function

ACB will adjust when the objects is dark, and background is bright. The contrast of the object area will be automatically modified info proper brightness. More natural portraits under the backlight. Natural correction when there is large brightness difference within the frame.

Advanced Movie Mode

Ultra high quality video recording is enabled by support of the 3x optical zoom, VGA resolution at 640 X 480, and 30/15 fps. Utilizing MPEG-4 that is a highly efficient codec, continuous video footage for up to 2 hour 30 minutes can be stored when 1GB memory card is used. Video editing capabilities (shake correction, shot continuity, video extraction, image capture) enable expression of various images.

Smart Touch function

A brand new Smart Touch interface intended for intuitive and quick menu access is supported by employing special UI for the NV series. Touch key function buttons arranged in ‘L' shape ensures seamless setup of menus and functions. This function enables users to conveniently select and control functions using horizontal and vertical keys 

Auto Macro capability (for up to 5 cm proximity)

The camera incorporates an auto macro and micro modifying function which avoids the need to switch to micro-shooting when in macro mode. In wide mode, the range is from 5 cm to infinity, and in tele mode, 50 cm to infinity. The camera can express new images of small subjects including flowers and insects by macro 5 cm shooting.

White Balance Selection

During shooting, actual colour expressions of an image may vary depending on the colour temperature of light sources such as sunlight, fluorescent and tungsten. Based on a light source such as sunlight, fluorescent and tungsten , a predetermined colour temperature is selected for natural expression of images. Natural expression of colours through Auto White Balance (AWB) for automatic adjustment of colour temperature and user-defined WB settings.

Black & Silver colour Metal Body

Solid durability and light weight in full metal body design has been implemented. Using the characteristics of aluminium that reflects rays such as infrared and ultraviolet rays, unnecessary ray filteration to the camera can be effectively blocked.
