I needed a point and shoot that I could take with me instead of hauling my Mark III around to amusment parks, etc.. Well let me just say this is the best point and shoot I've own yet. I upgraded my DSC-P10 after 5 years and it was worth it. The image quality great for a point and shoot. I keep the ISO at 80 and let the flash brighten up the room if I'm indoors. The camera has excellent low light performance. I bought a canon point and shoot first, but returned in the same day after very poor low light performance. The flash is slightly larger than a regular point and shoot and the result is excellent images. I can't say enough about this camera. I am very pleased.

It was a toss up between the H20 and the HX1. My friend purchased the HX1 and I got the H20 and I'm glad I picked the H20! The images from the H20 are much cleaner and have far less purple fringing. The H20 is much smaller than the HX1, but the HX1 has twice the zoom. I think 10x optical zoom is sufficient for what I use my camera for. The 720p movie mode is excellent and you can use the optical zoom during movies! It even has a low light setting which brightens up the videos in dim light without adding much grainyness. The specs here on DP Review doesn't mention a manual white balance, but the H20 does have it and it works excellent in tough lighting conditions.
Problems
My only real complaint about the H20 is the lens cap. I feel that Sony could have easily made automatic shutter style covers on the lens like in most of their other cameras. Powering on the camera won't push the lens cap off either. Other than that, it's an excellent camera and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good zoom in a camera that still fits in your pocket!
