BenQ Upgrades C Series Camera Lineup with Two New Models: C850, C750

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, April 23, 2008 – BenQ today unveils two upgrades to its popular C series digital camera lineup with the launch of the award-winning 7-megapixel BenQ C750 and 8-megapixel BenQ C850.  Both cameras feature an elegant front to back leather handle, Pentax lens, 3X optical zoom, Super-Shake-Free mode with high ISO supported, Smile Catch mode and video recording with optical zoom.  The C750 was recently awarded by Essen Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen – the international authority on product, concept and communication design – with a red dot honorable mention award for its innovative design, exceptional quality and high functionality.

By using diverse textures, lines and materials, BenQ's C750 and C850 convey a spectrum of emotions and characteristics that bring this digital camera to life.  The leather texture of the handle provides a comfortable, secure grip while simultaneously imparting a durable assurance.  The camera's metallic casing was inspired by the strong, solid characteristics of ore, which further reflects the C750 and C850 quality and dependability.   

The C750 and C850 are equipped a 2.5” and a 2.7” LCD display, respectively, Super Shake Free system with a high sensitivity of ISO1600 that can be engaged during both static and movie mode, ensuring that your precious moments are captured bright and natural in dark settings without having to use an artificial flash.  The 3X optical zoom in movie mode allows you to zoom in and out for a sharp and clear view during video recording in MJPEG 4 format at 640x480 or 720x400 at 30 fps in traditional and widescreen formats.

The embedded Smile Catch mode allows continuous shooting whenever a smiley face is detected within the scene until the mode is deactivated.  The cameras are also equipped with P/Av/Tv/M mode and a total of 14 shooting modes, offering instant access to a variety of shooting options.

The BenQ C750 and C850 will be available in select countries in Asia Pacific and Europe in April.
