Kodak Earns Multiple Accolades at 2011 International CES

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 6 -- Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) has earned four Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards for the new KODAK ESP C310 All-in-One Printer, the new KODAK PULSE Digital Frame and the KODAK PLAYSPORT Video Camera and first generation KODAK PULSE Digital Frame. The KODAK PLAYSPORT Video Camera also received a Best of Innovations Award. The awards were recently announced by the International Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and selected by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and journalists. In addition, Popular Mechanics selected the KODAK EASYSHARE SPORT Camera for a 2011 Popular Mechanics Editor’s Choice Award.

“Kodak is committed to delivering innovative products that make it easy and fun for consumers to share their pictures and videos and stay connected to friends and family,” said John Blake, General Manager, Digital Capture and Devices and Vice President, Kodak. “We appreciate this recognition of Kodak innovation across our product portfolio.”

“The Kodak Inkjet portfolio has always delivered high quality prints at an affordable price. With the launch of the ESP C310 Kodak is helping to save consumers time, money and energy,” said Susan Tousi, General Manager, Inkjet Systems, and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.

The new KODAK PULSE Digital Frame is a wireless device with its own email address that now offers new sharing and social networking features, making it simple and fun for consumers to stay connected and celebrate and relive life’s moments. A new Quick Comment button on the touchscreen allows you to comment on the pictures you receive from friends and family the moment you receive them, right from the frame, with options like Such a KODAK MOMENT, LOL!, OMG!, and Congrats! The PULSE Frame also connects to FACEBOOK and KODAK Gallery albums so pictures are streamed to the frame automatically. In addition, you can now create playlists to choose the pictures you want to see the most. Available in 7-inch and 10-inch sizes, the KODAK PULSE Digital Frame also has a new built-in activity sensor that turns the frame on when you’re nearby and conserves power when you’re not. CEA has recognized the KODAK PULSE Digital Frame in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology category for its energy efficient features including the activity sensor and LED backlighting and its ENERGY STAR qualification.

The new KODAK ESP C310 All-in-One (AiO) Printer offers an affordable, intuitive printing solution that saves the consumer time, money and energy. The KODAK ESP C310 has also been selected as an honoree in the Eco-Design and Sustainability Category as it delivers incomparable quality with lower power consumption while boasting the lowest total ink replacement cost in the industry.1

Honored as an Innovations Award and Best of Innovations award winner in the Digital Imaging category, the KODAK PLAYSPORT Video Camera is a rugged, durable and pocket-size HD video camera with an appetite for adventure. The Best of Innovations honor is given exclusively to products that receive the top score in their category. The KODAK PLAYSPORT Video Camera is waterproof up to 10 feet, features full 1080p HD video and 5 MP still capture, electronic image stabilization, and built-in software and USB cable output so consumers can edit and easily share their videos on sites including YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK.

Kodak’s first generation 10-inch KODAK PULSE Digital Frame was also honored as an Innovations Award winner in the Digital Imaging category. It features Wi-Fi connectivity and a customizable email address, and connects to FACEBOOK and KODAK Gallery sites, making it easy for consumers to keep their frames fresh with new pictures and share life’s moments with family and friends.

Kodak’s first waterproof digital still camera, the KODAK EASYSHARE Sport Camera can go up to 10 feet underwater and is also dustproof to withstand dirt, dust and sand. It also features Kodak’s exclusive Share Button that makes it easy to share your pictures with friends, family and your social network.

Kodak has also been heralded for its innovations in the mobile sector with the KODAK Pic Flick App, which was singled out as a semi-finalist for the Mobile Apps Showdown CES 2011. The KODAK Pic Flick App enables users to effortlessly print pictures directly from their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to a wireless KODAK All-in-One Printer.2 The free app is designed to automatically find and remember KODAK devices on LAN networks and offers the convenience of printing pictures from 2 x 3 to 8.5 x 11 inches in size.

1 As compared to leading consumer inkjet printers' total ink load replacement costs using manufacturers' recommended standard ink cartridges available in single quantity pricing (i.e. no multi-packs, high capacity, combo packs, value packs or special promotions); excludes printers that use only one cartridge. Based on independent third party price survey data obtained June 2010.

2 Compatible with the KODAK ESP 7250, ESP Office 6000 Series, and ESP 5250 All-in-One Printers and Kodak W820, W1020 and Pulse wireless digital picture frames.
