Nikon D3000 review at RegHardware RegHardware reviewed the Nikon D3000 digital camera on 30 October 2009 . They said: "Testing the D3000 was more fun than expected. It’s packed with features a novice will appreciate, while performing like a much more professional model. The feel of the camera is just what you want from a small DSLR: light and compact with intuitive handling and a solid build. That said, it’s a shame Nikon decided not to include a movie facility or Live View mode, as this might adversely influence ..." (03:12 GMT)

Canon PowerShot G11 review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Canon PowerShot G11 digital camera on 30 October 2009 . They said: "When Canon brought out the successor to the G10 and dropped resolution from 14.7 to 10 megapixels, some eyebrows may have been raised. The trend in compact digitals has been to keep bumping up resolution (while not necessarily keeping pace with physical sensor size), but Canon heard some grumbling about the G10's noise performance and, to their credit, responded. The G11 is a wonderful combination of a lens with very good ..." (02:04 GMT)

Pentax K-7 review at LetsGoDigital LetsGoDigital reviewed the Pentax K-7 digital camera on 29 October 2009 . They said: "Pentax does not have an equally big marketing budget as that of Canon or Nikon. That is why the brand remains somewhat inconspicuous, due to all the attention that is claimed by the other brands. However, Pentax certainly is a brand that deserves attention. Something Pentax proves once again with the K-7. It is a very interesting and nice-looking camera for serious photographers, and even for professional photographers ..." (03:21 GMT)

Nikon Coolpix S1000pj review at DPInterface DPInterface reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj digital camera on 29 October 2009 . They said: "The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj is one of the more unique digital cameras of year 2009. Besides having the 12 megapixel sensor, 5X optical zoom lens and 2.7 inch LCD, along with other bells and whistles like your average point-and-shoot camera, the S1000pj also features a built-in projector. I was pretty surprised at how well Nikon implemented a mini-projector into the Coolpix S1000pj. Last year, it was the pleasant to use touchscreen ..." (03:19 GMT)

Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR review at Steves Digicams Steves Digicams reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR digital camera on 29 October 2009 . They said: "The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is an outstanding compact digicam, loaded with exciting new features and shooting modes. The newly designed 10-Megapixel Super CCD EXR imaging sensor captures excellent, high quality images, while the new image processor allows the camera to combine images on the fly to improve image quality. With several "Auto" shooting modes, including EXR Auto, anyone can pick up this camera and capture fantastic images. With a MSRP ..." (02:05 GMT)

Canon EOS-1D Mark IV review at DigitalSecrets DigitalSecrets reviewed the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV digital camera on 28 October 2009 . They said: "When shooting with the 1DM4, we think that M1 scale JPEG images will save file space without compromising retained image quality. It will be interesting to test it. The M1 image is equivalent to a 12 MP image, and darned if that isn't the full-size image from Nikon's D3s. It won't be surprising to see Canon's down-converted 12 MP images showing a tad more picture power over the Nikon's 12 ..." (03:00 GMT)

Pentax K-x review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Pentax K-x digital camera on 28 October 2009 . They said: "The new Pentax K-x occupies the sweet spot between the entry-level K-m and prosumer K-7 cameras, combining the ease-of-use of the former with many of the advanced features of the latter. The 4.7 fps continuous shooting speed, speedy and accurate 11-point AF system, HD movies and an extensive ISO range of 100-12800 mean that Pentax should be onto a real winner with the new K-x. The K-x offers a veritable wealth ..." (02:44 GMT)

Pentax Optio W80 review at Steves Digicams Steves Digicams reviewed the Pentax Optio W80 digital camera on 27 October 2009 . They said: "The Pentax Optio W80 is an incredibly versatile compact digicam, with the ability to go and operate in conditions that only a few other cameras can. Featuring a 12-Megapixel imaging sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, and 720p HD movie mode, this camera comes loaded with great features. Performance is very good, while image quality suffers a bit due to the amount of noise present in our photos. This is something ..." (02:52 GMT)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 review at ByThom ByThom reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 digital camera on 26 October 2009 . They said: "The question most of you have for me at this point is: E-P1 or GF1. My answer is going to surprise you, I think: the Olympus E-P1. The whole reason to acquire one of these cameras is image quality, I think. If you're just looking for a convenience camera, there are plenty of competent compacts. But if you're a DSLR user looking for DSLR-type results out of a smaller camera, ..." (02:41 GMT)

Nikon D3000 review at CameraLabs CameraLabs reviewed the Nikon D3000 digital camera on 24 October 2009 . They said: "When Nikon launched the D5000 as its new ‘affordable’ DSLR, it left a big gap for a true budget model to replace the ageing D40, D40x and D60. Now that model’s arrived in the form of the D3000, and as expected, it inherits much from its predecessor, along with picking a few upgraded components from higher-end models. As such, the D3000 employs the body and sensor of the earlier D60, adds ..." (01:04 GMT)

Canon PowerShot G11 review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Canon PowerShot G11 digital camera on 22 October 2009 . They said: "Priced exactly the same as its still current predecessor in the G10, the G11 offers the advantage of a flexible LCD screen plus higher ISO options. If neither is particularly important and a higher resolution will serve better, then the older G10 is the one to go for. With the G11 taken on its own terms, although the lens in use can't be swapped, the broader than average 28-140mm equivalent focal ..." (00:12 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SX1 IS review at Imaging Resource Imaging Resource reviewed the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS digital camera on 22 October 2009 . The Mamiya DM22, slated for November delivery, is the perfect choice for photographers when 35mm-sized DSLRs are not good enough. Canon PowerShot SD940 IS review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD940 IS digital camera on 19 October 2009 . They said: "The SD940 IS is a pleasure to use. It has excellent build quality and is very quick and responsive. Its small size makes it convenient to carry everywhere you go, so you're always ready to take advantage of an available photo opportunity. It takes very good pictures in good light and has a small but effective flash. Even though it does not allow direct control over aperture and shutter speed, it ..." (02:08 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SX120 IS review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Canon PowerShot SX120 IS digital camera on 19 October 2009 . They said: "Virtually identical to its year-old predecessor, the new Canon PowerShot SX120 doesn't represent a worthwhile upgrade for current SX110 owners, but it does remain an affordable and well-specified super-zoom that should appeal to both beginners and serious photographers alike. The Canon PowerShot SX120 is slightly cheaper than the precious model and offers an extra megapixel, new Smart Auto mode, slightly faster processing thanks to DIGIC 4, and an improved face detection ..." Olympus Stylus 9000 review at LetsGoDigital LetsGoDigital reviewed the Olympus Stylus 9000 digital camera on 19 October 2009 . They said: "There are currently a number of cameras on the market with more or less similar specifications. We have already published a number of reviews of several digital cameras of this type. If we compare the test results, it becomes clear that the Mju 9000 scores only moderately, and should be improved on several points in order to reach comparable test results like the PowerShot SX200 IS or Lumix DMC-TZ7 cameras ..." Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR digital camera on 16 October 2009 . They said: "The FinePix S200EXR builds on the successful design of the previous S100FS with the logical addition of Fujifilm's exciting EXR technology, although we miss the tiltable LCD screen and slightly wider-angle lens of its predecessor. The S200EXR is one of the best bridge-style cameras that we've reviewed, with the manual zoom and focus rings almost replicating a true DSLR experience. Canon PowerShot SD960 IS review at LetsGoDigital LetsGoDigital reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD960 IS digital camera on 15 October 2009 . They said: "If you are looking for a handy and, especially, a trendy design camera, you will soon spot the Canon IXUS 110 IS. The model stands out from the masses, which gives Canon a small lead over the competition. The quality is fine to excellent and will probably be appealing as a snapshot camera, preferably in good light circumstances. If you want to shoot in a more serious way, you'd better ..." Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 digital camera on 15 October 2009 . Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 digital camera on 15 October 2009 . They said: "The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1 bridges the gap between the popular FX and TZ series cameras, offering the small size of the former combined with a similar focal range to the latter. Super-quick auto-focusing and improved image stabilisation help to sweeten the deal, although the video mode and LCD screen aren't as good as the TZ7's. Canon EOS 7D review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Canon EOS 7D digital camera on 14 October 2009 . They said: "When the Canon EOS 7D was announced at the beginning of September 2009, many people instantly dismissed it because of the lack of a full-frame sensor. On closer inspection, that seems to be their loss, as the 7D is a fantastic APS-C DSLR that only narrowly misses out on our highest 5 Star / Essential award. It has a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, a good all-purpose 28-128mm equivalent optical zoom with very effective image stabilisation. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 review at Imaging Resource Imaging Resource reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 digital camera on 14 October 2009 . They said: "The Sony WX1 has some magic up its sleeve. Its new sensor sees better in low light and it can grab a handful of shots in the dark and composite them into an image you can't capture with other cameras. Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 review at Imaging Resource Imaging Resource reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 digital camera on 13 October 2009 . They said: "Both the Panasonic GF1 and the Olympus E-P1 have their virtues, and both take a pretty nice image from what we can tell. The Panasonic GF1's faster autofocus makes it a better choice for journalists, though those shooting JPEGs will have to be careful about the yellow and orange performance. Olympus's E-P1 has considerably slower autofocus, though we didn't notice it much until we set the camera in front of ..." (01:59 GMT)

Carl Zeiss presents the Distagon T* 2/28 with EF bayonet OBERKOCHEN/Germany, 12.10.2009. The breaking dawn is a special time for photo- graphers. When the early-morning sun reluctantly chases away the still-glistening dew on the trees, this delicate transition between night and day creates moments of calm and anticipation. But without a tripod at hand, these shots will only succeed with a lens that can handle intense light. Carl Zeiss today introduces the wide-angle lens Distagon T* 2/28 ZE with EF bayonet, suitable for all analog and digital EOS camera models. With an initial aperture opening of 1:2, it is among the most light-intense of its kind in its focal length. (01:54 GMT)

With a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 3x digital zoom and 2.5in LCD it's specifications may not set your heart racing, but within these boundaries it does what it does very well and produces excellent quality photos. They said: "Given that this is a point and shoot pocket camera, not a tank-like super zoom nor bridge model, Canon may struggle to justify the price of the Digital IXUS 200 IS and indeed a quick internet search will reveal better deals; we found one major retailer offering it from Ł270 at the time of writing which, psychologically at least in coming under the Ł300 'barrier', is much more like it. If ..." (03:52 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SX120 IS review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Canon PowerShot SX120 IS digital camera on 09 October 2009 . They said: "The SX120 IS is almost exactly the same camera as the SX110 IS that was released last year at the same time, minus the processing chip, resolution and features like advanced face detection. It has the same body size and design, the same construction, operation and controls, and the same focal length. It also shares the same purple fringing problems, ISO performance, and maximum aperture ratings at wide angle and telephoto. ..." (03:50 GMT)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 digital camera on 08 October 2009 . They said: "The Panasonic DMC-GF1 is a natural evolution of the Micro Four Thirds format, offering similar functionality to the G1 and GH1 models in a smaller and lighter body. The GF1 isn't perfect, but it is one of my favourite cameras of 2009. The DMC-G1 isn't as small as all those glossy marketing shots may have suggested, but it subsequently handles really well, even for someone with large hands. It delivers all ..." (01:01 GMT)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 digital camera on 07 October 2009 . They said: "When I reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 back in March 2008 I was impressed enough with that camera's overall performance to buy one for my sister. Subsequent Panasonic offerings that have crossed my path for review purposes didn't produce the same warm and fuzzy feelings as the FX35, but the FP8 has reversed that trend. The FP8 is a desirable camera by virtue of its sparkling AF performance and speedy shutter ..." (02:07 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SD940 IS review at Steves Digicams Steves Digicams reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD940 IS digital camera on 06 October 2009 . They said: "Like its predecessor, the SD940 is a true jem. This tiny camera is a blast to use, and the carrying options are almost limitless. It can fit into the smallest of pockets, so you can take it with you almost anywhere. The only thing I would love to see Canon add to these models would be some sort of waterproofing or weather-resistance, which would make them true "go anywhere" cameras. ..." (02:05 GMT)

Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR review at DigiCamReview DigiCamReview reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR digital camera on 06 October 2009 . They said: "The Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR was a little unexpected, so soon after the F200EXR, it's thinner, yet has an impressive 10x optical zoom lens! As a compact camera it's impressive that so much can be packed into a camera the same size as most other cameras only featuring a 3x optical zoom lens! Whilst the EXR sensor may not be as good as previous Fuji cameras for low noise, it does ..." (01:48 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS review at DPInterface DPInterface reviewed the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS digital camera on 06 October 2009 . They said: "If you liked the Canon PowerShot SX10, that I reviewed earlier this year, then either you’ll be more pleased or disappointed with the PowerShot SX20 IS, depending on how you look at things. The Canon PowerShot SX20 IS brings forward the same features of its 10 megapixel sibling, including the 20X optically-stabilized zoom lens, full suite of manual controls, flip-out and rotate 2.5 inch LCD, class-leading battery life; and throws ..." Nikon D3000 review at LetsGoDigital LetsGoDigital reviewed the Nikon D3000 digital camera on 06 October 2009 . They said: "In terms of settings, the Nikon D3000 provides plenty of application possibilities for the amateur or novice photographer. We can live with the lack of Live View, video and a tilting LCD monitor (D5000) since this does not have any effect on the image quality. If you have outgrown your compact camera and just want more image quality, and really want to delve into your creativity, the Nikon D3000 will ..." (01:07 GMT)

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 review at Imaging Resource Imaging Resource reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 digital camera on 06 October 2009 . They said: "Oh, the Sony TX1 is a Dave's Pick all right, let's get that out of the way right now. It has the technical wonders required to earn one, starting with the new Exmor R sensor's increased light sensitivity, the responsive widescreen, touch-sensitive LCD, and some innovative shooting modes. Those include 10 frame-per-second shooting at full resolution, Anti-Motion Blur, and Handheld Twilight modes, Sweep Panorama, and HD Movie mode, and a ..." (00:52 GMT)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 review at DCResource DCResource reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 digital camera on 05 October 2009 . They said: "The DMC-GF1 is a compact interchangeable lens camera similar in size to the Olympus E-P1. That shouldn't be too surprising, as they're both rangefinder-style cameras based on the Micro Four Thirds standard. The GF1 doesn't have the cool retro-styling of the E-P1, instead taking a more conservative approach (it looks like a big DMC-LX3) ..." (02:00 GMT)

Nikon D300s review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Nikon D300s digital camera on 05 October 2009 . They said: "If you've read the entire review, you will hardly have any doubts that the Nikon D300s is an excellent camera. Build quality is superb, handling and ergonomics are first-rate, and the abundance of dedicated external controls leads to quick and straightforward operation in the field. The optical viewfinder is up there with the best ones in this class. The 51 autofocus points cover most of the frame, and allow you ..." (01:49 GMT)

Canon EOS 500D review at Imaging-resource Imaging-resource reviewed the Canon EOS 500D digital camera on 05 October 2009 . They said: "So it's pretty clear, if the Beta unit's quality holds up, that the Canon Rebel T1i's image quality is at least as good as the Canon 50D, delivering more detail than most of the 12-megapixel cameras on the market for less money. Noise suppression is a bigger factor, but you can also turn that noise reduction down or off completely, or shoot 14-bit RAW, something we'll explore in greater depth ..." (01:04 GMT)

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS review at CameraLabs CameraLabs reviewed the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS digital camera on 04 October 2009 . They said: "Canon’s earlier PowerShot SX10 IS was one of the best super-zooms around, so while the enhancements on the new model aren’t radical, they’ve made a great camera even better. Two out of three requests we made last year have been addressed here, with the addition of HD video recording and an HDMI port, and we’re not surprised to find the third, RAW recording, remains absent. So it will come as ..." (00:13 GMT)

Pentax K-7 review at DPReview DPReview reviewed the Pentax K-7 digital camera on 02 October 2009 . They said: "The Pentax K-7 manages to combine superb build quality, comprehensive customization options, excellent ergonomics and an extensive feature set with (for a camera in this class) very compact dimensions. This makes it a more than viable alternative for those (but not only for those) who like to work with semi-pro equipment that still leaves some space in the gear bag. JPEG output at high sensitivities is not quite on the ..." (00:31 GMT)

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G3 review at DigitalCameraReview DigitalCameraReview reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G3 digital camera on 02 October 2009 . They said: "The Sony DSC-G3 isn't flawless but with its built-in WiFi and browser, 4GB internal memory, good functionality as a portable digital photo album and 3.5 inch Touchscreen LCD, this slender camera certainly differentiates itself from every other consumer digicam on the market. The big question is whether or not it's worth the high price tag. And that's a question that only you can answer, although given that when this review ..." (00:29 GMT)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 review at Imaging Resource Imaging Resource reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 digital camera on 02 October 2009 . They said: "There's nothing quite like a long zoom that can capture a room without backing you into a wall or reach across a meadow to snap some shy wildlife. They will never be small but they are getting compact. The Panasonic FZ35 is one of the finer specimens I tested this summer. My appreciation for the Panasonic FZ35 started with its solid build quality and excellent optics, which enjoy a more robust ..." (00:22 GMT)

Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 review at PhotographyBLOG PhotographyBLOG reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 digital camera on 01 October 2009 . They said: "Reviewing the Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1 has proved both an enjoyable and frustrating experience. Enjoyable in the sense that this a truly remarkable first-generation product, capable of creating convincing 3D photos at the push of a button, but frustrating in that they can only be viewed (currently) on the camera's LCD screen or the optional V1 photo viewer. You'll just have to take my word for it about how ..." (00:56 GMT)
